Taking advantage of my stay in Tokyo, I am trying to meet my friends. This man with long hair is the man whom I desperately wanted to meet. He is my very close friend, and we have been together long enough to know each other very well from childhood. We have a lot of wonderful memories and he has backed up me when serious matters happened. Now he has two daughters and looks enjoying his Tokyo life as a father. 東京滞在を利用して、友達に会える機会を作ろうと頑張っております。写真の長い髪の人物は、東京滞在では必ずや会いたいと思っていたイケメンでして、僕の幼少期よりの親友であります。楽しい思い出を共有しているだけでなく、僕の人生の節目毎に、蔭になり日向になり、大きなサポートをしてくれたのも彼でした。今や、彼は二人の娘の父親、家族を守る大黒柱として東京でがんばってるようでした。（というわけで、写真をBlur&Black barで加工してアップしておりますが、もし加工なしでも載せてもOKでしたらご連絡下さいませ、W様。そのイケメンぶりを披露していただきたいです。)

I heard of this robot who has a girly looking face, and encountered her in the Digital Contents EXPO 2009. Her name is HRP-4C. In the demonstration, she moves her face expressively as I've heard. But, the demonstration itself is kind of boring for me and her movement looks strange, because her body doesn't move at all although her mouth, eyes and hands are moving smoothly. And also, I disappointed she speaks exactly as programmed.
　
Digital Contents EXPO 2009では、噂に聞いていた幼顔（ロリフェイス？）のロボットにお会いすることができkました。HRP-4Cという無機質な名前を持つこのロボットは、かなり表情豊かなデモンストレーションを見せてくれました。が、顔や手が人間っぽく動いてるくせに、全く上半身以下が動いていない、この不気味さ。。。そして、プログラムされた事をただ喋り、動いているだけで、期待外れ感がかなり強かったです。

Mamoru Mori is a kind of Japanese celebrity. He was an astronaut and flew space mission aboard two times. I found him in the opening ceremony of Digital Content Expo 2009. He spoke directly to audience without looking cheating papers unlike other people who did an opening address. That is a great example for me to follow.　

毛利衛さん、オープニングセレモニーでお見受けしました。２度のスペースシャトルミッションを成功させた毛利さんは、他のプレゼンターと違ってカンニングペーパーを見ずに観客の方向をしっかりと向いてお話をされていました。素晴らしい。

I went to DIGITAL CONTENT EXPO 2009 with Miho. This expo has some connection with Miho's job, so she is invited to attend the opening ceremony and other talk discussions. We enjoyed many art installations produced by Japanese university students and 3D devices manufactured by Japanese corporations. (I came back to Japan around the end of this September. I try to write my blog in English for my American friends. Please be patient and keep checking my blog.)
　
Mihoさんと一緒にDigital Content Expo 2009に行ってきました。Mihoさんのお仕事と関連があって、このExpoに彼女が招待されており、ついでに私もという事で行って参りました。オープニングセレモニーやトークディスカッションなどにも参加し、その時間の合間に展示されている作品を見て回りました。（日本に９月下旬に帰国しました。アメリカの友人に向けて英語でもblogを書こうと努力してます。）
